John H. is a retired twenty-year veteran of the United States Marine Corp. The majority of his 20 years were spent here locally in Jacksonville. After retirement, he was contracted overseas for two years for the State Department. This line of work did not leave time for family, so he chose to pursue other opportunities. He and his family have made the Crystal Coast their permanent home where his son is attending a local high school and his wife teaches. His oldest son attends college on scholarship at Fairmont State University (WV), where he plays football. He looked into employment with large corporations who claimed to be "veteran" friendly, but they would ultimately give the job to another "experienced" candidate, but could claim that they considered him for the jobs as a veteran. After some very frustrating months he decided that he would take this opportunity to open his own business that specialized in employing veterans and their family members. The goal is to have as close to 100% veteran or veteran related (any branch) employed at Ace Handyman Services Crystal Coast.
John W. is a retired 20 year veteran of the United States Marine Corp and has spent most of his 20 year in or around Jacksonville NC. He and his wife will welcome a new member of the family soon and look forward to raising him here as a part of the community. His older son attends a local elementary school and his oldest daughter is married to a United States Marine stationed in California. After retirement, he had several jobs that took him away from his family for weeks at a time and were not professionally challenging. When the owner approached him with the opportunity to work at Ace Handyman Services Crystal Coast he was excited to work at a company that was truly veteran centered. He would be working with people in which he had served with in the Marine Corp in combat, was close friends with, and could envision long term challenging professional opportunities for many years to come.
