Paul Hammer
Owner/President
Paul is an Indiana native and earned a B.S. from Purdue University. He and his wife have lived in several states, including those in the Pacific Northwest, but have made Westerville their residence since 2011. In his former life, Paul traveled extensively for his job, both nationally and internationally, and enjoys that owning Ace Handyman Services franchises allows him to have the daily family time he loves. Outside of work, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, often at swim meets, and watching Purdue sports. Paul and his wife also own Ace Handyman Services offices in Westerville and Pickerington.
Laura Hammer
Owner/Vice President
Laura is a Wisconsin native and attended Purdue University where she earned a B.A. and M.A. in History. Prior to owning Ace Handyman Service franchises, she was a history instructor and academic advisor. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, riding her bike, being outdoors, and watching Purdue sports.
Jaida M.
Human Resource Generalist
Jaida joined Ace Handyman Services in January 2025 as the company’s Human Resource Generalist. A Columbus native, Jaida brings a strong education foundation and passion for people to the position. She earned both bachelor of Science in Business Administration and her Master’s in Human Resource Management from The Ohio State University. Since joining the company, Jaida has quickly established herself as a vital asset to the company known especially for her positive welcoming attitude and readiness to help. Outside of work, Jaida enjoys spending quality time with her husband and friends, exploring new restaurants, and catching up on sleep.
Andrea A.
Commercial Division Office Manger Servicing Central Ohio
Andrea joined Ace Handyman Services in January 2021 as our Southeast Columbus Office Manager. A 2019 graduate of Otterbein University with a degree in Public Relations, she entered the trades industry with minimal experience—but quickly proved herself to be a fast learner, a dedicated team player, and an invaluable asset to our operations.
In early 2025, Andrea transitioned into a leadership role heading our Commercial Division, where she now oversees services for clients across all of Central Ohio. Her ability to adapt, lead, and build strong relationships continues to drive our commercial growth and client satisfaction.
Andrea thrives on the daily learning opportunities her role provides and values the support of her coworkers, as well as the chance to help customers bring their projects to life. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs.
Decia S.
Office Manager
Decia joined Ace Handyman Services in September 2024, bringing with her a strong background in leadership and management from various industries. She studied Chemical Dependency and Mental Health at Columbus State Community College, and her passion for helping others now shines through in the home improvement space.
At Ace Handyman Services, Decia values the unique culture that allows every team member—whether in the office or in the field—to make a tangible impact. The company’s size allows for close-knit collaboration while still operating at a high level with multiple successful offices. In her role managing the East office, Decia appreciates the trust and autonomy she’s been given to make decisions that directly influence the company's day-to-day success. She has found the environment to be one that genuinely respects and appreciates its employees—something she has rarely experienced elsewhere.
Her passion lies in helping customers find real solutions. Over the course of her time, she has seen firsthand how their work brings relief, satisfaction, and hope to homeowners facing challenging situations. Being part of a team that truly helps the community is what makes her role especially fulfilling.
Outside of work, Decia enjoys spending time with her family—including her loveable dog. She leads an active lifestyle, with a love for weightlifting, running, and traveling. She’s also passionate about vegan cuisine, music, and reading. Among her personal achievements, she’s completed a full marathon in about four hours and enjoyed the experience almost as much as bungee jumping.
Don I.
Field Supervisor
Don has been with Ace Handyman Service since 2014 and has been the company's field supervisor since 2016. He is passionate about home repair and improvement, and has been in the trades for over 30 years. Don is an Air Force veteran and outside of work enjoys volunteering for camp and home projects.
Tim M.
Project Manager
Tim joined Ace Handyman Services in September 2020 as a master craftsman. He holds an Associates degree from Ohio State University in Electrical Engineering. He came to the team with a wealth of knowledge and over twenty years' experience in the trades. In August 2023, he became our project manager and oversees our large project division. Outside of work, you can find Tim fishing and flying drones.
William "T" J.
Craftsman
William, better known as T, began with Ace Handyman Services in April 2021. He is a Navy veteran and has lived in many states, but calls Ohio home. He has been in the trades for many years, and enjoys plumbing and drywall projects best. He likes the independence and the diversity the job provides and very much enjoys the family like company environment. When he is not working, you can find T building and racing remote control cars.
Mike K.
Craftsman
Mike K. joined Ace Handyman Services in the spring of 2024, bringing years of experience in the trades and a keen interest in carpentry projects. In addition to his work with Ace, Mike owns a party rental business. He is also passionate about fitness and enjoys staying active outside of work.
Josh E.
Craftsman
Josh joined Ace Handyman Services in the summer of 2025. His passion for the trades began early, when he shadowed his father and learned the value of hard work and craftsmanship. By the age of eighteen, he was already hands-on in the field, building a strong foundation of skills that continues to grow today.
While Josh enjoys working across all the trades, electrical work is his favorite. At Ace Handyman Services, he appreciates that every day brings something new and enjoys the variety of projects that keep his work exciting and rewarding. Outside of work, Josh loves spending time with his family and working on cars—a hobby that lets him keep building, problem-solving, and creating with his hands.
