Ace Handyman Services Helpful Home Club Subscription Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
These Subscription Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the subscription to the Ace Handyman Services Helpful Home Club (“Subscription”). The Subscription includes two (2) scheduled visits for four hours of handyman labor (one visit every six (6) months) during the Term (defined below) which may be applied to a wide range of home maintenance tasks, including but not limited to seasonal maintenance, repairs, and installations provided by Ace Hardware Home Services, Inc. DBA Ace Handyman Services (“Ace,” “Ace Hardware Home Services,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to you (“Subscription Services”). Our professional craftsmen are trained to handle over 1,162 different home repairs.
These Terms are between you and Ace and govern your and our respective rights and obligations related to the Subscription and Subscription Services. These Terms apply in addition to the Ace Terms of Use at: https://www.acehardwarehomeservices.com/terms-and-conditions, the Ace Privacy Policy at: https://www.acehardwarehomeservices.com/privacy-policy, each of which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.
BY SUBSCRIBING, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE ARBITRATION AGREEMENT AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER INCLUDED IN THE ACE TERMS OF USE, AND ANY ADDITIONAL TERMS INCORPORATED HEREIN BY REFERENCE.
2. Subscription Plans
The Subscription offered by Ace is designed to meet your home maintenance needs. Details of the Subscription:

Additional fees may apply, including a $75 charge for hauling away waste and charges for parts and materials, as applicable. Ace offers Labor Packages in two-, four-, and eight-hour increments. You will be eligible to receive a 15% discount on all Labor Packages. Multi-day appointments are excluded from receiving a 15% discount. The term of the Subscription is twelve (12) months (“Term”). Your Subscription will automatically renew for an additional Term, and your payment method will be charged monthly until you cancel the Subscription (see “Cancelling Your Subscription” below). Ace will send you notifications approximately thirty (30) days before your Subscription renews.
3. Payment Terms
You can only pay for the Subscription using a valid credit card or valid debit card. You cannot pay for the Subscription using Ace Rewards, prepaid cards, gift cards, or any other coupon, discount, or promotional credit or offer.
By subscribing, you agree and authorize us to automatically charge your card on the day you subscribe and on a monthly basis thereafter.
If a payment is not successfully processed, we will send an email to the email address associated with your account and/or call you to inform you of the issue and ask that you update your payment method. If you do not update your payment method, your Subscription may be canceled, and no further Subscription Services will be fulfilled unless you sign up for a new Subscription. For details regarding Subscription cancellation for non-payment see “Cancellation by Ace” below.
Ace may provide certain benefits as part of the Subscription, which may include, promotional pricing, discounts, or other offers. Any limitations or conditions will be disclosed at the time that the offer is presented. Ace reserves the right to modify or discontinue benefits offered as part of any Subscription. If Ace modifies or discontinues benefits offered as part of your Subscription, Ace will send an email notice to inform you of the change at the email address associated with your account. The modifications will apply to all future Subscription Services. If you do not accept the modifications, you need to cancel your Subscription before the billing date to avoid being charged.
4. Scheduling and Notifications
By subscribing, you are eligible to receive two (2) scheduled four (4) hour visits for Subscription Services during the Term (one scheduled visit every six (6) months). Subject to the Subscription Services Credit (defined below), you must schedule your Subscription Services every six (6) months. Ace may send you reminders by phone and/or email to assist with scheduling Subscription Services, but it is ultimately your responsibility to contact Ace and schedule your Subscription Services. To schedule Subscription Services, please contact our customer service team.
If you fail to schedule your Subscription Services during any six (6) month period during the Term, your unused Subscription Services will be credited to your account (“Subscription Services Credit”). Your Subscription Services Credit shall remain valid for six months following the following expiration of that Term. While we may send reminders regarding your Subscription Services Credit, it is your responsibility to schedule your Subscription Services Credit. If you fail to schedule your Subscription Services Credit within six months of the expired Term, your Subscription Services Credit will be forfeited. Your Subscription Services Credit may not be combined with your Subscription Services for one total eight (8) hour visit.
We require 24-hour notice of cancellation of a scheduled visit for Subscription Services. Someone eighteen (18) years old or older must be at your premises to allow our craftsman entry into your premises.
5. Service Exclusions
We will only perform tasks that we are licensed to perform by the state or the local regulatory authority. This will be determined locally as the list of services requested is discussed. Some exclusions may apply. For additional information, please call our customer service team.
6. Parts and Materials
The Subscription only includes the cost of labor. You may incur additional charges for parts and materials, if any, that are purchased by us for the provision of Subscription Services.
7. Cancelling Your Subscription
You may cancel your Subscription at any time by contacting our customer service team. Your rights and obligations vary upon cancellation depending on whether you received a 15% discount on a Labor Package for an Initial Appointment and/or whether you used the Subscription Services. See details below.
“Initial Appointment” refers to the first scheduled appointment for a customer who also enrolls in the Subscription. Upon subscribing, you are entitled to a 15% discount on the labor package (not to exceed eight (8) hours of labor) incurred during this Initial Appointment. This discount is applicable only if you subscribe at the time of the appointment and agree to pay the first monthly Subscription fee of $99.00. The terms and conditions of the discount for the Initial Appointment are subject to change at our discretion.

- Non-Refundable First Payment
- The first monthly payment of $99.00 is non-refundable during the first Subscription Term.
- Cancellation Before Using Subscription Services
- If you cancel your Subscription before utilizing any Subscription Services during any six (6) month period during the Term, all subsequent monthly payments during such six (6) period, after the first monthly payment, made during the Term will be credited to your account.
- This credit can be used for labor at the then standard rate and must be utilized within six (6) months of the cancellation date. Any unused credit after this period will be forfeited.
- We may send you reminders regarding your account credit, but it is your responsibility to schedule an appointment and use the credit within the specified timeframe.
- Cancellation After Using Subscription Services
- If you use the Subscription Services and cancel before making six (6) monthly payments, you must pay for the remaining unpaid months for the Subscription Services. This ensures that the Subscription Services rendered are compensated appropriately.

3. Customer Responsibilities

Your Subscription will automatically renew for an additional Term, and your payment method will be charged monthly unless you cancel the Subscription.

It is your responsibility to manage your Subscription and any credits resulting from cancellation.

We may provide reminders regarding credit usage, but the ultimate responsibility lies with you to ensure credits are used within the specified period.

If you cancel your Subscription and you have an amount due to Ace, Ace will charge your credit card on file. If you cancel your Subscription and owe amounts to Ace, you agree and authorize us to automatically charge your card on the day you cancel your Subscription.
This Cancellation Policy is designed to provide clarity and fairness to both you and us. By subscribing, you acknowledge and agree to these terms. If you have any questions or require further clarification, please contact our customer service team.
8. Cancellation by Ace
We may cancel your Subscription at our discretion without notice. If we do so after you have been charged a monthly fee(s) but prior to our provision of Subscription Services, your Subscription will be canceled without any further monthly charge or liability, and we will provide you a refund in the amount equal to the monthly fees paid. However, we will not provide any refund for cancellation related to conduct that we determine, in our discretion, violates these Terms, or any applicable law, or involves fraud or misuse of the Subscription or Subscription Services, including non-payment. If we cancel your Subscription for non-payment and you received Subscription Services, you must pay for the remaining unpaid months of the Subscription Term. This ensures that the Subscription Services rendered are compensated appropriately. Our failure to insist upon or enforce your strict compliance with these Terms will not constitute a waiver of any of our rights.
9. Renewal
Subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of the Term unless canceled by you. Renewal terms will be communicated to you approximately thirty (30) days prior to the renewal date, and you will have the opportunity to cancel before the renewal takes effect. If you wish to avoid an automatic renewal after you receive notification of a Subscription renewal, please contact our customer service team.
10. Liability
Ace shall not be liable for any loss, damage, illness, or injury resulting from delays in service or from conditions beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or misuse of services.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Ace harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Subscription Services, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
12. Dispute Resolution; Arbitration; Prohibition of Class Actions
All claims arising out of or relating to any agreement with Ace and any Ace site, product, service, application, or tool, including these Terms (collectively, "Ace Offerings"), will be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration according to the Dispute Resolution Terms, available at https://www.acehardwarehomeservices.com/terms-and-conditions. The Dispute Resolution Terms are hereby incorporated by reference in these Terms. We both agree that all claims must be brought in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative action or proceeding.
13. Choice of Law
The Dispute Resolution Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of laws. For any disputes not subject to binding arbitration that arise out of or in connection with these Dispute Resolution Terms and/or the Subscription Services, You and Ace hereby irrevocably consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state or federal courts in Illinois.
14. Modifications
We may modify any of these Terms, at any time. If we amend these Terms, we will revise the “last updated” date located at the top of these Terms. For changes to these Terms that Ace considers to be material, Ace will send an email to the email address associated with your account. If you continue to participate in the Subscription Services, you will be deemed to have read, understood, and unconditionally consented to and agreed to such changes. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ANY CHANGES, YOU MUST CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION BY CONTACTING our customer service team.
The Subscription Services processed under your Subscription will be subject to the then current version of these Terms. The most current version of these Terms is available on our website and will supersede all previous versions of these Terms.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, along with any other documents incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Ace regarding the Subscription Services and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
16. Material Terms
By subscribing, you agree to be bound by these Terms and that your Ace Handyman Services Helpful Home Club subscription will automatically renew every twelve (12) months (the “Term”) at the then-current subscription rate, on a recurring basis, unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be charged the first monthly fee once you accept these Terms and then monthly thereafter. The monthly fee for the Ace Handyman Services Helpful Home Club subscription is $99.00 per month, and you will be charged each month unless you cancel by contacting our customer service team.
By subscribing to the Ace Handyman Services Helpful Home Club, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
