This early exposure to craftsmanship shaped him into a natural handyman with a talent for problem solving and thinking outside the box.
He’s driven by the challenge and satisfaction of figuring things out, especially when a tough problem turns into a clean, working solution. As an owner, Sam also loves teaching people new things, helping employees grow, and sharing the knowledge he’s built over years of hands‑on experience.
Sam’s strongest skill is problem solving, creative thinking, quick solutions, and a steady mindset that sees possibility in every challenge. He’s also known for his creativity and even his love for cooking, which reflects the same patience and precision he brings to his work.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys fishing, gardening, and working on his house, always finding new projects to take on. His favorite part of the job is helping people bring their home vision to life, turning ideas into real, functional improvements that make a difference in their everyday living.

Elena comes from a family of natural fix‑it people. That upbringing shaped her confidence, curiosity, and hands‑on approach to every challenge she takes on.
Her path into business ownership began at the hardware store, where Julene became a key mentor, teaching her not only the technical side of tools and materials but also the deeper responsibilities of leadership and running a business. Over time, it was the customers themselves who helped her recognize the growing demand for trustworthy handyman services, inspiring her to step into ownership with purpose and clarity.
Elena’s favorite part of the job is working with all kinds of personalities of employees, customers, and community members. She thrives on connection and communication, finding energy in the variety of people she gets to support every day.
Her skill set includes on‑the‑spot puzzle solving, strong training and teaching abilities, empowering others to grow their own skills, and thoughtful people management with a focus on clear implementation. Her favorite tool is the shop vacuum, a simple but essential piece of equipment she uses to keep projects running clean and efficiently.
Outside of work, Elena stays active through running and hiking, and she channels her love of animals into dog training and chicken‑keeping classes. She even teaches others how to confidently and responsibly own chickens, blending practical knowledge with her natural talent for instruction.
John Taylor

John’s foundation in craftsmanship began with his dad, a skilled remodeler who built his own garage and worked with John’s uncle to rebuild the family farmhouse. Growing up around that kind of hands‑on work taught John how materials behave and how real craftsmanship is passed down through generations.
John finds instant gratification in fixing things, especially when a problem feels like a puzzle waiting to be solved. He loves figuring out why something works and how to make it work better. His favorite tools are the miter saw and track saw.

One of his greatest joys on the job is mentoring young builders, helping them grow their confidence, expand their skill sets, and discover their own strengths.
Outside of work, John enjoys camping, sitting around campfires, walking the trails on his family farm, fishing, and playing video games.

Sam grew up inspired by his grandpa, a hands‑on builder who constructed his own log home. By hearing his grandfather's stories of how he built the cabin Sam’s became motivation to build, create, and understand how things fit together. That early influence shaped his passion for craftsmanship and helping others through practical problem‑solving.
Sam loves fixing things, not just for the satisfaction of solving a problem, but because he knows it directly helps someone out. He’s an outdoors‑driven, adventure‑minded guy who enjoys hiking, snowmobiling, and exploring nature whenever he gets the chance.
On the job, Sam is known for his strong communication skills, his talent for fixing and aligning doors, and his ability to adapt quickly to whatever a project throws at him. His favorite tool is the speed square, a simple but essential guide he uses for accuracy and clean results.
Sam’s favorite part of the job is making people’s lives easier, whether that’s through a repair, an installation, or a solution that brings comfort and convenience back into their home.
Andy McInnis
Master Craftsman
Andy sort of evolved into his handyman position here at ACE. He’s been in fabrication, project management, graphic design and was even a social worker for several years. He went from working as a screen printer, to a bicycle mechanic, and then onto the floor here at ACE Hardware. A majority of Andy’s hands-on experience comes from the professional landscaping world where he learned hardscape, carpentry and was a foreman at several different companies. Andy values a collaborative relationship with the client. He listens closely, and works diligently to execute the clients vision.
Andy’s favorite activities outside of work are running, bicycling or anything outdoors. He and his wife also enjoy traveling and immersing themselves into experiences just outside their comfort zone.
Natalie
Craftsman
Natalie is a dedicated Craftsman with Ace Handyman Services, bringing a blend of creativity, problem‑solving, and hands‑on skill to every project she touches. She first fell in love with building by watching her dad do maintenance work around the house. While he fixed things, she explored his tool bag, a childhood curiosity that grew into a lifelong passion for craftsmanship.
One of the projects she’s most proud of is the playground set she built when she was younger, a milestone that cemented her confidence and love for creating. Today, her go‑to tool is a utility knife, a simple but versatile tool.
Outside of work, Natalie expresses her artistic side by painting on her porch art wall, and she stays active through baseball and pickleball. On the job, she’s known for being a quick problem solver and for her transparent, honest communication with customers. What she loves most about her role is that every day brings something new. A chance to learn, adapt, and grow across multiple trades.
Natalie thrives in the diversity of the work, always expanding her skill set and embracing the challenges that come with each unique project.
Chris Porter
Craftsman “Extraordinaire”
Chris is a classically trained electrical engineer and loves getting his hands dirty. His true passion has always been helping people to solve their problems. To Chris, people are at the heart of his work. Anyone that’s met him knows he loves to chat and get to know the customer. Chris thoroughly discusses the issue at hand, proposes solutions and helps our clients feel engaged in the solution process.
Chris spends the off-hours walking his dogs, riding bikes and playing piano. Believe it or not, he’s been playing piano longer than he’s been fixing stuff. According to Chris, it’s one of the few times that he’s quiet.
Sivan Sartin
Craftsman “Multiskilled-Artist"
Sivan's handyman experience all started with his grandpa’s German chainsaw. Since he was a little one, manual labor and taking care of the home space have been amongst his favorite activities. He's explored professions ranging from school teacher to stilt acrobat but has always found himself coming back to the trades.
Sivan was born and raised in South Minneapolis and Nicollet Ace Handyman seemed a logical next step in his professional development. As an ACE Craftsman, he enjoys learning, growing his skillset and serving his community.
When not working, Sivan likes to garden and cook delicious food for friends and family.
