Paul Hammer
Owner/President
Paul, an Indiana native, earned his B.S. from Purdue University, where he met his wife, Laura. After living in several states, they chose to settle in Westerville in 2011. Paul previously traveled extensively for work, both nationally and internationally, and now relishes the fact that owning Ace Handyman Services franchises allows him to be home every evening. The Northwest Columbus office marks the fourth location for the Hammers, following their Northeast Columbus office in Westerville (2014), Southeast Columbus in Pickerington (2018), and East Columbus in Gahanna (2020). Outside of work, Paul enjoys spending quality time with his family, riding his bike, and coaching for the Lost in the Woods mountain biking team.
Laura Hammer
Owner/Vice President
Laura, a native of Wisconsin, holds both a B.A. and an M.A. from Purdue University. She co-owns the business with her husband, Paul, overseeing marketing and accounting. Before her current role, Laura was a history instructor, academic advisor, and basketball coach. When she’s not working, she loves to spend time with family and friends and enjoys staying active riding and working out.
Jaida M.
Human Resource Generalist
Jaida joined Ace Handyman Services in January 2025 as the company’s Human Resource Generalist. A Columbus native, Jaida brings a strong education foundation and passion for people to the position. She earned both bachelor of Science in Business Administration and her Master’s in Human Resource Management from The Ohio State University. Since joining the company, Jaida has quickly established herself as a vital asset to the company known especially for her positive welcoming attitude and readiness to help. Outside of work, Jaida enjoys spending quality time with her husband and friends, exploring new restaurants, and catching up on sleep.

Office Manager
April joined Ace Handyman Services in March 2024. Originally from Iowa, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Northern Iowa. She later moved to Ohio, where she completed her Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from THE Ohio State University.
She most enjoys most is being the bridge between our customers and craftsmen, making sure projects are scheduled smoothly and done efficiently. She finds it rewarding to help improve people’s homes and work with a team that takes pride in their craft. Every day brings something new, and she loves the mix of problem-solving and personal connection.
Outside of work, April enjoys golfing, reading, and spending quality time with family and friends. A fun fact about her: her favorite TV show is The Office—and if you stop by her office, don’t be surprised to spot a few flying chickens!
Andrea R.
Commercial Division Office Manger Servicing Central Ohio
Andrea joined Ace Handyman Services in January 2021 as our Southeast Columbus Office Manager. A 2019 graduate of Otterbein University with a degree in Public Relations, she entered the trades industry with minimal experience—but quickly proved herself to be a fast learner, a dedicated team player, and an invaluable asset to our operations.
In early 2025, Andrea transitioned into a leadership role heading our Commercial Division, where she now oversees services for clients across all of Central Ohio. Her ability to adapt, lead, and build strong relationships continues to drive our commercial growth and client satisfaction.
Andrea thrives on the daily learning opportunities her role provides and values the support of her coworkers, as well as the chance to help customers bring their projects to life. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs.
Don I.
Field Supervisor
Don has been a valued member of Ace Handyman Services Northeast Columbus since 2014 and has served as the company's field supervisor since 2016. With over 30 years of experience in the trades, he is deeply passionate about home repair and improvement. An Air Force veteran, Don dedicates his free time to volunteering for various camp and home projects.
Tim M.
Production Manager
Tim joined Ace Handyman Services in September 2020 as a master craftsman, bringing with him over twenty years of experience in the trades and a wealth of knowledge. He holds an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering from Ohio State University. In August 2023, Tim transitioned to the role of project manager, where he now oversees our large project division. Outside of work, you can find him enjoying fishing and flying drones.
Roman C.
Craftsman
Roman has been with Ace Handyman Services since November 2021. Originally from Liberec, Czech Republic, he has lived in the United States for the past twenty years. With about twenty-five years of experience in the trades, Roman is a drywall master who also enjoys plumbing and building cabinets. He values working at Ace Handyman Services for the steady flow of work, the convenience of a company vehicle, and the strong support from his office manager. Outside of work, Roman stays active by biking, swimming, playing with his grandson, and enjoying music, particularly the drums.
Brent W.
Master Craftsman and Field Supervisor
Brent W. joined Ace Handyman Services in August 2021, bringing decades of experience in the trades. As the lead master craftsman on the west side of Columbus, he excels in remodeling and large-scale projects, while still enjoying smaller carpentry tasks. For several years, Brent has been the go-to expert for bathroom remodels using Onyx Collection products in our Northwest office. When he's not working, you'll likely find him spending time with his family or enjoying a round of golf.
Eddie B.
Craftsman
Eddie B. joined Ace Handyman Services in the summer of 2024, bringing a wealth of experience from the trades industry. He enjoys the diversity that the job brings from completing quick repairs to working on larger projects. With years of expertise in commercial services, Eddie also plays a key role in supporting the company's commercial division on the west side of Columbus. When not working, you can find Eddie spending time with his family and coaching football in the fall.
John S.
Craftsman
John joined Ace Handyman Services in the spring of 2025. He comes to the company with a wealth of knowledge and experience. He began his journey in the trades as a teenager, landing his first job doing trim carpentry. From the start, he quickly developed a knack for the work, honing his skills and discovering a deep appreciation for the craft. While he enjoys all aspects of the trade, woodworking continues to be his favorite, especially carpentry. His favorite part of working at Ace Handyman is helping his customers with their challenging home projects. Outside of work, you can find John spending time with his family, his two dogs, leather crafting, wordworking and spending time out doors.

Marc joined Ace Handyman Services in the summer of 2025, bringing with him years of experience in the trades. He first began working with his hands at the age of eighteen and quickly discovered his passion for building, repairing, and working independently. His favorite projects include carpentry and all types of exterior work, where he enjoys seeing the immediate impact of his craftsmanship.
At Ace Handyman Services, Marc values the opportunities to grow his skills and appreciates the positive, family-oriented company culture. He takes pride in delivering quality work while building trust with every customer he serves. When he’s not on the job, you’ll likely find Marc outdoors whether he’s fishing, hiking, or spending quality time with his family.

Craftsman
Matt joined Ace Handyman Services in the fall of 2025, bringing with him decades of experience in the trades. He first discovered his passion for working with his hands as a teenager and has been honing his skills ever since. Matt’s favorite projects include exterior home improvements and roofing, while indoors he enjoys tackling all types of flooring projects.
At Ace Handyman Services, Matt values the family atmosphere and the flexibility that allows him to do what he loves every day. He takes pride in delivering quality craftsmanship and ensuring every customer’s satisfaction. When he’s not on the job, you can find Matt outdoors- camping, staying active, or playing sports.
