Chris McCarl
General Manager
Chris is the General Manager of the Ace Handyman Services Rivers branch, having been with the team for three years. He is an expert in his field and passionate about servicing his community. Maintaining meaningful client relationships and always improving our craft, are two main pillars of Chris's work.
Chris lives with his wife in North Muskegon. He is a passionate deer hunter and, in 2025, used his 30 plus years of both residential and commercial construction to build his own cabin for himself and his family to enjoy. During the summer, Chris and his family enjoy boating on Michigan's lakes, and in the winter, they find warmer destinations to enjoy sunshine during frigid Michigan winters.

Emily Johnson
Franchise Owner
Emily Johnson is a co-owner at several local businesses including Rivers Ace Hardware stores in Whitehall, Rothbury & Shelby along with Tri County Feed Service in Montague & New Era. She is passionate about customer service and small business so the Ace Handyman Service was a natural fit to expand along the West Michigan coastline.
Emily lives in New Era with her husband, 3 children, 2 dogs and a new kitten. She purchased a house in 2016 that needed a whole makeover and while she enjoys DIY projects, she also understands the frustration of trying to find good, qualified handyman to help out with projects.
Todd Kraai
General Manager
Todd Kraai has a long background in Education as teacher & administrator for over 30 years at New Era Elementary. He has also owned and operated his own construction business for many years. Todd is passionate about helping others and having a personal touch to every transaction. That's what is so awesome about living in small town Michigan.
Todd lives in New Era with his wife Deb and enjoys every opportunity to spend time with his family and grandkids.
