Paul Hammer
Owner/ President
Paul, originally from Indiana, earned his B.S. from Purdue University. He and his wife have lived in several states, including the Pacific Northwest, but they've called Westerville home since 2011. In his previous career, Paul traveled extensively both nationally and internationally, and he now appreciates the opportunity to work locally, allowing for more cherished family time. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, and riding his bike. In addition to owning Ace Handyman Services Southeast Columbus in Pickerington office, the Hammer's also own Ace Handyman Services Northeast Columbus in Westerville, Northwest Columbus in Dublin, and East Columbus in Gahanna.
Laura Hammer
Owner/Vice President
Laura, alongside her husband Paul, was thrilled to expand their Ace Handyman Services family with the opening of their new Pickerington office in 2018, allowing them to better serve the south east side of Columbus. Though originally from Wisconsin, Laura attended Purdue University, where she earned both her B.A. and M.A., and where she met Paul. Before becoming a business owner, she worked as a history instructor, academic advisor, and basketball coach. Outside of work, Laura enjoys spending time with her daughters, reading, staying active, exploring the outdoors, watching Purdue sports, and finding joy in laughter whenever possible.
Andrea R.
Commercial Division Office Manger Servicing Central Ohio
Andrea joined Ace Handyman Services in January 2021 as our Southeast Columbus Office Manager. A 2019 graduate of Otterbein University with a degree in Public Relations, she entered the trades industry with minimal experience—but quickly proved herself to be a fast learner, a dedicated team player, and an invaluable asset to our operations.
In early 2025, Andrea transitioned into a leadership role heading our Commercial Division, where she now oversees services for clients across all of Central Ohio. Her ability to adapt, lead, and build strong relationships continues to drive our commercial growth and client satisfaction.
Andrea thrives on the daily learning opportunities her role provides and values the support of her coworkers, as well as the chance to help customers bring their projects to life. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs.
Paige M.
Office Manager
Paige joined Ace Handyman Services in early 2025, bringing with her a diverse background that spans healthcare, intermodal logistics, and safety. Her broad range of experience and strong work ethic make her a valuable asset to the team. What Paige appreciates most about working here is the close-knit, small business culture. She thrives in the relaxed yet supportive environment, where collaboration and a sense of community are at the forefront.
In addition to her role at Ace, Paige is currently pursuing a degree in English Literature at Columbus State. Outside the office and classroom, she enjoys baking, reading, gardening, and spending time outdoors with her three dogs.
Fun Fact: Paige is a devoted metal music fan and regularly attends music festivals, concerts, and local shows—always up for discovering new bands and sounds.
Don I.
Field Supervisor
Don has been with Ace Handyman Services since 2014 and became the company's field supervisor in 2016. He oversees all the Columbus offices, bringing over 30 years of experience and a deep passion for home repair and improvement. Don’s expertise and dedication have not only contributed to the success of the company but have also made him a mentor and master teacher to his fellow employees. As a proud Air Force veteran, Don enjoys giving back by volunteering for camp and home projects in his free time.
Tim M.
Field Supervisor
Tim joined Ace Handyman Services in September 2020 as a master craftsman, bringing with him over 20 years of experience in the trades and an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering from Ohio State University. His extensive knowledge and expertise quickly made him an integral part of the team. In summer 2026, Tim stepped into the role of field supervisor, where he now oversees our large project division. When he's not managing projects, Tim enjoys spending his free time fishing and flying drones.
Chris L.
Master Craftsman
Chris joined Ace Handyman Services in the winter of 2026, bringing with him a lifelong connection to the trades that began at just 10 years old, working for his grandfather’s commercial roofing company where he earned money shoveling gravel and helping on job sites. Today, he especially enjoys kitchen and bathroom installations and takes pride in working with Onyx Collection products. One of his favorite aspects of the job is the variety. no two days are the same. Outside of work, he spends his time playing guitar (and even performed at Shadowbox Live!), golfing, and gardening. He values building relationships with customers and finds fulfillment in helping improve their homes and overall quality of life.
Chris L.
Craftsman
Shaun started his career in the trades in 2017, working alongside his brother in a painting business that was founded in 2015. Over the course of seven years, he developed hands-on experience in a wide range of home improvement and repair projects while building a strong passion for helping customers improve their homes.
Although painting remains Shaun’s favorite trade, he enjoys the variety that comes with working across many different types of projects. His favorite part of the job is that every day brings something new, allowing him to continually learn and take on fresh challenges.
When he’s not working, Shaun enjoys spending time with friends and family, staying active through sports, and making the most of his free time outdoors and with loved ones.
Chris B.
Master Craftsman
Chris joined the Ace Handyman Services Columbus team in the summer of 2026, bringing nearly 30 years of carpentry experience to every project. He began his career in 1996 at a custom staircase shop, where he specialized in the layout, design, and construction of custom staircases. That foundation developed the precision and craftsmanship that continue to define his work today.
Chris's favorite part of the trade is finish carpentry and trim work. He enjoys the intricate details of fine finish work and takes pride in delivering clean, professional results that enhance every home. Whether he's installing trim, repairing woodwork, or tackling detailed carpentry projects, Chris is committed to quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
What Chris enjoys most about Ace Handyman Services is the variety of projects and the opportunity to help homeowners with a wide range of repairs and improvements. Every day brings a new challenge, and he enjoys putting his experience to work solving problems for customers. Outside of work, Chris serves as a volunteer firefighter and enjoys spending time riding motorcycles and exploring the outdoors.
